You’ll need to install a DHCP server.

Cores and memory

Minimum

The minimum requirements are:

• 64 GB of RAM

• 8 cores

You must provision physical storage for the virtual disk. We recommend SSD storage. The storage space consumed by the Virtual Appliance will be approximately 20% to 40% of the total size of data you crawl.

Recommended

The minimum requirements are usually sufficient for small or trial deployments.

For optimal performance and search speed in larger deployments, the recommended configurations are:

• For 1-10M items: 16 physical cores and at least 64 GB of RAM

• For 10-200M items: 32 physical cores and at least 256 GB of RAM

• For 200M-500M items: 64 physical cores and at least 512 GB of RAM
