4.2.0

The main changes for the 4.2.0 release are:

Duplication dashboard

In Exonar 4.2.0, we’ve deprecated duplication detection.

Earlier versions of Exonar allowed users with the Duplication Manager role to access the Duplication dashboard.

If you currently use duplication detection and need to continue, contact our Support team. They’ll enable it for you again so you can work without interruption.

Office 365 data sources

The configuration parameters for the Office Exchange 365 data sources for SharePoint and OneDrive have changed.

This happened because we now communicate using the Microsoft Graph API.

4.1.0

The main changes for the 4.1.0 release are:

Entity detection for new countries

Exonar can now detect information such as telephone numbers and postal codes in formats from the Netherlands, Portugal, and Italy.

This results in name changes to some of the metadata fields:

  • NI Numbers is now National ID Numbers

  • NI Number Count is now National ID Number Count

  • Postcodes is now Postal Codes

  • Postcode Count is now Postal Code Count

4.0.2

The main changes for the 4.0.2 release are:

Risk dashboard

The Risk dashboard has a set of charts that show stored information that’s likely to conflict with your data risk policies.

You can see low, medium, and high concentrations of data relating to credit card numbers, email addresses National ID numbers, people’s names, and telephone numbers.

Exchange data sources

The configuration parameters for the Exchange on Premise and Office Exchange 365 connectors have changed.

This happened because we now communicate using the Microsoft Graph API.

The main changes for the 4.0.1 release are:

Enterprise Vault

Enterprise Vault data sources now use our new crawler for improved performance and reliability.

Database data source

You can now use sampling on database data sources. For example, if you specify a sample size of 500, we’ll crawl the first 500 rows rather than the entire table or view.

SQL Server data source

For Microsoft SQL Server data sources, you can now crawl all the tables in a database rather than just one table or view.

Automated workflows

You can now edit the definitions of workflows.

The main changes for the 4.0.0 release are:

Google Drive

Use Google Drive as a data source.

Form search

Form search is a new way to search. The first form we’re releasing is called Data Subject Search. It helps you to find data on an individual. It’s very useful for Subject Access Requests.

Automated workflows

You can set up workflows to periodically search your data estate and take action on items they find.

Faster tagging

It’s now even easier to apply tags to your data. Tagging jobs run faster too!
