Grant user impersonation rights

Introduction

This operation requires administrator privileges within the Office portal.

To crawl an Office 365 Exchange data source in Exonar, you need to grant user impersonation rights to a user. This is the user you’ll specify in Exonar when you create the data source.

Step-by-step

To grant user impersonation rights in Office:

1. Log in as an administrator at https://portal.office.com

2. Select Admin

3. On the left-hand menu select Show all

4. On the left-hand menu select Exchange

5. On the left-hand menu select permissions

6. Under admin roles select Discovery Management and then the Edit Icon

7. Under roles select + (Add) and add the ApplicationImpersonation role

8. In the Members section select + (Add) and add your user.

9. Save the changes
