Microsoft OneDrive for Business

Here are the steps to use OneDrive for Business as a data source.

Create an Exonar user

  1. Log in to your Azure administration account at admin.microsoft.com

  2. Create a new Azure Exonar crawl user

You don’t need impersonation rights.

Register a new application

  1. In Azure, create an Application Id

Create the data source in Exonar

  1. In Exonar, create a data source and fill these fields.

    Field

    Description

    Application Id

    Application Id allocated in the Azure portal for the Exonar Crawler.

    User Name

    A user in trhe Azure portal who has read access to the data you want to crawl.

    Password

    The password for the user.

    Account Id

    Optional email address of a OneDrive for Business user. If you give an email address here, the the crawler will look at files from that user only. Otherwise we will crawl files from all user.

    Folder Path

    Optional. The starting folder path for the crawl. If you leave this field blank, crawling starts are the root. If you provide an Account Id, this is the starting point in the user’s OneDrive for Business space.

For example, to crawl an entire email account, set Account Id to the email address and set Folder Path to /.
